Adaptive + polarized in a single lens: NomiX Adaptive Polar, cut in Trivex at 1.60 index with UV400. The photochromic range runs Cat 0-3 and the polarization layer sits inside the laminate, so cutting the lens for Rx doesn't destroy the polar filter — that's the difference between this and cheap bonded polarizers. The 27g frame, 142□18-142, is our widest fit, sized for medium-to-wide faces and for wearing over the top of a thin beanie or helmet liner. Extended side shields clip on for glacier and coastal wind. Fog resistance is handled by the anti-fog front coat plus a hydrophobic back; snow glare drops hard when the polarized layer meets wet snow at 20% VLT. Face fit: medium to wide. Scene: ski touring, glacier, coastal rides, water sports.
