Daniel R.

34, software engineer Β· Run Pro, Rx -3.50

"Ordered with my Rx after my old pair finally gave up. The 1.60 index lenses came out way thinner than my last pair at the same prescription. Wore them 11 hours on a deadline day: no pressure marks above my ears. The wire-core temples bent to my head shape in about two minutes."

Marta K.

41, trail runner Β· Run Elite

"I'm a heavy sweater and I've burned through three pairs of running glasses in two years β€” nose pads always gave out. The titanium frame is 17g, I weighed it on my kitchen scale. Three months of trail runs and the pads are still intact, which is a first for me."

TomΓ‘s L.

27, competitive cyclist Β· Velo Race

"Cat 4 races, 4-hour training blocks, two seasons now. Dropped off the car roof, thrown in jersey pockets, run over once β€” still straight, still tight. Anti-fog holds through hard climbs at 6Β°C, which my previous $200 pair couldn't manage."

Priya N.

31, UX designer Β· Digital Lite

"Bought these as a "cheap desk pair" and they're now my main glasses. 21g β€” I forget they're on. The blue light filter is subtle enough that my color work in Figma hasn't suffered. 6 months in, the flex hinge is still springy. For $39 I expected them to feel cheap. They don't."

Anders B.

38, bike commuter Β· Glacier Shield

"I ride 45 minutes each way, dawn in winter, full sun in summer. This is my first photochromic pair and I was skeptical about the transition speed β€” 20 seconds from dark to clear sounds like marketing. It's not. Tunnel on the way home: clear before I reach the end of the platform."

Sofia G.

29, remote worker + gamer Β· Digital Game

"The wrap actually blocks the light from my second monitor that used to glare off my old lenses. Four-hour evening sessions and my eyes feel normal afterward, not sandpaper like before. The grip on the temples is real: I've fallen asleep in them on the couch."

Common Questions

How do I know what frame size to order? β–Ό
Check the number on your current temple, like 140β–‘18-142: lens width 140mm, bridge 18mm, temple 142mm. Compare the lens width with our specs β€” within 2-3mm is a safe match. No current frame? The quick rule: your frame should be roughly as wide as your face, and the bridge should sit on the nose without pinching or sliding. Our product pages list every size, and the Virtual Try-On measures your face width from a photo.
How do I choose the right lens configuration? β–Ό
Three questions decide it. (1) Prescription: yes β†’ pick the Rx option and enter your numbers; no β†’ clear, blue light, or tinted. (2) Light conditions: fixed (office, driving) β†’ single-vision polarized or blue light; variable (riding at dawn and noon) β†’ NomiX Adaptive photochromic Cat 0-3. (3) What matters most: glare-cut β†’ Polar; digital comfort β†’ BlueShield; terrain detail β†’ Contrast. When in doubt, choose Adaptive β€” it covers the most situations.
What data do I need to enter for prescription lenses? β–Ό
SPH, CYL, AXIS, and PD for each eye (OD/OS separately). The form accepts both manual entry and a photo of your prescription. Our lens team verifies every Rx order before cutting; if anything looks off β€” a mistyped sign, an impossible CYL, a PD outside adult range β€” we email you to confirm. Nothing gets cut until you approve the correction.
What's the returns and exchange policy? β–Ό
30 days from delivery, no questions, no restocking fee. Contact support for a prepaid label, send the glasses back in original condition, refund processed within 5 business days. Exchanges: tell us what you want instead and we cross-ship after the return is scanned, so you're not waiting two weeks. Lenses that have been Rx-cut are returnable only if the error is ours β€” we confirm every Rx before cutting precisely to keep this fair.
How do the smart features on AI One / AI Sport work? β–Ό
AI One: tap the right temple to summon the assistant, hold to capture a photo, and calls route through the open-ear speaker. Set-up takes about 5 minutes with the companion app. AI Sport: the HUD shows cadence, speed and heart rate (from a watch or chest strap); no phone needed during the ride. Both devices work fully offline except for the assistant and translation features, which need a network connection.
What's the battery life? β–Ό
AI One: 340mAh, about 8 hours with the assistant active, 12 hours as passive glasses with capture only. AI Sport: 360mAh, 10 hours tracking without the display, 6 hours with the HUD on. Both charge to full in about 45 minutes via the magnetic USB-C puck, and both hold charge for 30+ days on standby.
What warranty applies? β–Ό
All frames: 12 months on materials and workmanship. NomiX Adaptive lenses (Velo Pro, Glacier Shield, Glacier One): lifetime lens warranty β€” if the photochromic response fades, we replace the lens free. Batteries in AI models: 12 months, and the cells are user-replaceable, not glued in. Frame parts (temples, nose pads, hinges) are sold separately and most can be swapped at home in under a minute.
How fast is shipping, and where do you ship? β–Ό
In-stock frames ship within 24 hours from our warehouse; standard delivery is 5-10 business days worldwide with tracking. Rx and custom lens orders add 3-5 working days for the lab. Orders over $50 ship free. We currently ship to 30+ countries; if yours isn't listed at checkout, email info@nomiwear.com β€” for some regions we can arrange a quote.
